Verde strengthened its supplier network by improving risk visibility, diversifying key sourcing relationships, and creating a more resilient system.

Supply chain resilience
Verde Goods wanted to strengthen its supplier network and prepare for unexpected disruptions. Increasing dependency on a small number of suppliers had created operational risks, making it harder for the business to respond when materials or production capacity became unavailable.
The company understood that resilience required more than simply finding additional suppliers. Verde needed to understand where its most important dependencies existed, which relationships presented the greatest risk, and how quickly the business could respond if a critical supplier became unavailable.
The challenge
The company had limited visibility into supplier dependencies and relied heavily on a small group of critical partners. Risk assessments were inconsistent, and teams often reacted to disruptions after they had already affected operations. Verde needed a more proactive approach to understanding and managing supplier risk.
Another challenge was the complexity of managing suppliers across different regions and product categories. Geographic risks, material dependencies, and production constraints all affected the stability of the network.
The approach
We helped Verde assess its supplier network based on geography, material dependencies, production capacity, and operational risk. Critical suppliers were prioritized for deeper analysis, while alternative sourcing options were identified for high-risk areas. The new framework also introduced regular monitoring to help teams respond before risks became disruptions.
The process gave Verde a structured way to evaluate supplier relationships and identify potential alternatives before they were urgently needed. Teams could now review risk indicators regularly, strengthen critical partnerships, and develop contingency plans for the most vulnerable areas of the supply network.
The results
Verde significantly improved its supplier resilience and reduced dependency on high-risk relationships. Teams now have a clearer understanding of critical supply chain vulnerabilities and can act faster when potential disruptions emerge.
The new approach also shifted the company's mindset from reactive problem-solving to proactive risk management. With better visibility and stronger contingency planning, Verde is now better positioned to maintain supply continuity and respond confidently when unexpected challenges arise.
We moved from reacting to disruptions to planning for them. The visibility we've gained has made our supply network far more flexible and resilient.
